Let's start a discussion about the use of technology in learning in college. How do you feel about the increasing technological requirements and opportunities at Montgomery College, especially in our classroom?
Talking about increasing of technology in Montgomery college in this blog is on of proof that students use technology every day for their studies. For example, in my class for assessments using this blog is required and a part of our class work grade. In my classroom using technology in learning is required for my teacher because is a good way to stay connected with students
In my opinion, increasing technological requirements and opportunities in Montgomery College is useful to students, but there are absolutely students who are not used to handle the Internet. Therefore, instructors who prefer to use the Internet have to make a way to help the students who are not skilled to the Internet.
I agree with your opinion that technological requirements can be a disadvantage to the students who are not used to a computer and the Internet. They may need more time to do homework and have technical difficulty when they are doing their homework.
using technology as a tool to teach students are a complex way to learn. students who don't have a computer at home or don't know how to use the internet is a difficult way to learn. teachers who want use technology as a teaching tool should make the students take a require class about how to use internet and computers, so they can be prepare for the class.
I really like the opportunity to use technologies in our classroom. For those who don't use computers very often it helps to get used to it. If we need help we can get it either from other students or our teacher. Requiring technology for home assignments leads to some problems, as not all students have internet access at home. Additionally we are very dependent on a location. I would like to do my homework outside, but I usually can't do it, as I need internet and a computer
I'm not sure if i agree or disagree to increase the use of technology at MC. I guess we can say that it will make our lives easier but not everyone has a computer or internet at home.
I feel very positive about technological requirements and opportunities at Montgomery College. Using technology is helpful to the students taking Prof. Shaw’s class. For example, google drive is a wonderful tool that the students can obtain a feedback of their writings from Prof. Shaw. Therefore, the students do not need to wait until the class and can immediately revise their writings when they have comments about their writings from the professor. This discussion board is also beneficial. I can post my opinion to the discussion board and other classmates can read and reply my opinion. I can read other students’ opinions too. Therefore, this discussion board helps to share students’ ideas.
I agree on the increasing technological requirements and opportunities at Montgomery College because is helpful even more for people who does not have internet access at their homes.
i think the use of technology in learning thereby increasing technological requirements and opportunities at Montgomery College, can be very helpful to students more especially those who don't have access to the internet at home as Kevin said, that's been familiar with most online software like dictionary as we normally use in class, Google drive which I often used but not as much as i do now with the help Prof. Shaw and thus college students can acquire or develop new ideas, skills and moreover knowledge with the use of most online learning assets or resources.
